    fork seal care

is there such a thing as fork seal care? do you do anything to yours ever for regular maintenence or storage?

i know they're just a hard rubber seal...would putting some oil on the top of them help? leave them alone?

    just curious..

Some oils and greases may damaged rubber pieces.
I usually put in plastics and rubber pieces a bit of vaseline which isn?t agressive and it?s recommend for those kind of materials.

P.S.: try to put a motor oil drop in a condom and see what happpends afterwards.

Keep the dust covers and the fork tubes clean, wipe the fork tube with wd40 when cleaning your bike

Good advice. I use silicone spray instead of WD40. Fork seals generally last much longer if the bike is ridden regularly. If you cannot ride, at least pump the forks up and down several times, at least once a week. Store bike on the centerstand.
And on the seventh day, after resting from all that he had done,God went for a ride on his GS!
Upon seeing that it was good, he went out again on his ZX14! But just a little bit faster!
