Lynn, how did that tire of yours hold up?

I have the K627 on my GS1100 rear, and I can visually watch the tread disappear after every 100 mile ride.

Was wondering if you had the same experience.

I got a Dunlop 491 rear tire almost 2000 miles ago. I can't see any wear yet. I have been very pleased with this tire, and it was only $81. My bike is a GS850L.

      Ace.

My 550 had a 627 the PO put on, didn't last long. Tried it again, same results, too expensive for the mileage and the handling. Didn't last any longer than a Cheng Shin Marquis. 5,000/6,000 miles.

On my 850. it has aprox 4K miles so far I would say it has
another 4K in it Usually run 30-32 in the rear I do not launch hard or do burnouts cruse around town, 80 on the freeway

Well hell, John. Had to give him some time to put a bunch of miles on the tire, didn't I?

Lynn, I have to say, I'm not really happy with mine. This was on the rear when I bought the bike from Michael, at that time it seemed it had just minimal wear......still very useable. Now the middle is worn down to the point where I have almost no tread, and this with putting only about 800 miles on it 8O .

And no, I am not Crayonjota in disguise, I don't do burnouts all over the place!

Just checked, the DOT date code says "1900". Guess that would make it 2000 mfg?? 8O 8O 8O
