    33 smoothies jets

I found a set of 33 smoothies without jets and would like to know what size to use on my 82 1100E. I do have a K&N jet kit for CV34 carbs with 110, 114, 128 and 138 jets, would these jet work on the 33 smoothies.

    Thanks
    Jake

The CV's (vacuum type carb) use a different jet from the slide type carb
    I would check with http:www.factorypro.com or http:www.sudco.com

        Hi RJ!

The jets should fit nicely, did for me anyway.
When i used them on my bike with stock 1074cc and st.1 ported head that was milled 0,25mm and a VH SS 4-1 I had 127,5 for everyday use with lots of damping wool in the silencer, with less I felt as they would?ve preferred 130?s. But the best result was with 135?s for good top-end. However it ran very rich in the middle range so I had to lower the needles one clip from the middle pos.
After I bored it to 1166 it made practically no difference strangely. The comp.ratio went from 9,5 to 10,3 app. Increasing comp.ratio normally require rejetting but not for me. I read that you were going for 13,5:1. If it was my bike I would get the crank welded and balanced. Very easy to damage something, especially when dragracing. When done, you can continue to about 150bhp at the wheel without straightcut gears. My crank on my -83 is "semi"welded leaving two pins that are not, one of them just behind the sprocket. Ironic it is the one that has the biggest load of them all transferring power from 3 cylinders.....
When I?m putting my VHR modified cams in that is exactly what I have to do together with a heavyduty chain aswell

        /Chris

If they are Keihin carbs they have a totally unique jet: it is a long hex-sided jobbie.

Hey Jake, would there happen to be any more of these carbs available where you got yours?

Hey Hoomgar I'll keep my eyes open for you. This guy is out of town for a few weeks and he said he only had one set for sale. I'll let you know if another sets pops up.
