    Best carb cleaner???

    Hey,

I've done some searching through the forum and couldn't come up with a definite answer for this:

What's the best brand/type of carb cleaner out there??

I've heard a few mentions of the Yahama stuff. Is that the best? I'm looking for a dip, as I plan on tearing the suckers to tiny pieces.

Also, any suggestions for an inline fuel filter (for a 1980 GS550L)??

    Thanks a ton.

You can usually get a gallon container of CARB CLEANER at auto parts any brand will work. Make sure to do it outside and use gloves. Same with carb spray I buy whatever is cheapest

I agree with Lynn - get the dip type. It's much better than the spray.

I haven't been able to find any of the Berrymans in Ottawa or Sudbury. I can get 1 gallon cans of it for 45$CDN or 2.5 gallons pails if I get a loan... Briggs and Stratton spray worked well for me but Gunk Carb Medic is pretty crappy in my opinion. I've been told that there is a type of engine foam that works really well too.

        Cheers, Steve
