    Whats the big deal about pods and going lean?!?

    I just don't see how its possible...

    A lot of people on the GSResources board have said that if you put pods on the carbs without rejetting it will burn your valves from being too lean.

    What I'm thinking is that if you richen the mixture you shouldn't have to worry about being lean right? I mean, after all its just a matter of compensating for the extra airflow right?

    Is there something I'm missing?

    If you're not going to rejet how will you make the mixture richer In every throttle position including WOT

      Oh....yeah....crap....

      I forgot about that.
      The mixture screws only control the idle mixture right?

          Thanks Robin, i'm glad you liked the photos. I was happy till I got the carbs on the engine and realized that the airbox wouldn't fit in after it. I guess i'll wait to get it running when I get my stage-3 Jet kit and pod filters. There ain't no way that the carbs can fit in there with that stupid airbox in the way.
