    teflon coating

Would it be of any use to have my fork tubes teflon coated while I have them apart to install race tech emulators?

I don't know but think it would be too soft of a coating

I think you'll find that the "slide metal" is already coated. I've seen that in my manual somewhere.

The inner and outer (or upper and lower) bushings are teflon-coated. These items are the "contact points" between the inner and outer fork legs, and are quite easily replaced when servicing the forks.
