R1 Tail light
Maybe I should have asked a few days ago, but I bought a 01 R1 Tail Light off ebay for $16.00, it has two tail/brake lights, my 82 GS11E only has one, will have a wiring problem or low/dim tail lights if i hook this up??Tags: None

Re: R1 Tail light
No, there should be no problem. The stator and R/R are the same between the 1100 and the 1150. The 1150 was made with dual tail lights like the R 1.

Just put a "Y" connector at the lead as it enters the tail light. Electricity doesnt care.

By tail light indicator do you mean an indicator that shows your light is burnt out? I'm asking 'cause my frugal 450 doesn't have such luxuries!
Did you wire the bulbs in series or parallel? I'm guessing that your indicator senses resistance in the circuit and if it goes too high it assumes the bulb has blown. If you wire them in series it'll sense double the resistance. Try parallel and see what happens.
hope this helps...Sam
