    Sticky throttle

Just bought an 82 650G, the throttle grip sticks some. Any suggestions?

Just use WD40 on all the carb linkages and remove the cable from the throttle and sray WD40 dowm the cable and move the cable by hand back and forth to free them up.
    Best of luck! Archie

Disconnect the throttle cable from the carb linkage. Then, when pulling on the loose end of the cable, rotate the throttle grip. If you feel the cable binding, you will need to remove it and flush it out. Then lightly oil it and reinstall. If twisting the throttle does easily pull you fingers when checking throttle grip smoothness, then it is not a problem with the grip or cable, it is more likely the linkage on your carbs needs cleaning and oiling. Also, check the throtttle return spring on the carb linkage to be sure no one has deformed or installed it incorrectly.

Guys, what makes some people think that cables last forever? Chances are that cable is 22 years old. I would replace it if I were you. Go to your Suzuki dealer and order one; it's possible MotionPro still has them.

Get a fresh start. I would.
