    Carbon removal

Is there a product out there that can be used on heavy carbon to remove it? I am cleaning the pistons and haed to the bike.

Always used elbow grease before, but if there is something out there new I am open to using it.

I've used brake cleaner or carb dip before with good success on my cars pistons.

I like the carb dip, too. It loosens up the goo in the ring lands nicely.

Hap, I have no useful advice.....but that has never stopped me before:

        1) Place pistons in your thong (while wearing same....available space should be ample).

        2) Add 1 pound of loose sand.

        3) Go jogging for 5 miles.

        4) Remove parts and admire the new shine.

I like to glass bead blast the tops...I tape up the piston so I do not hit the skirts or ring lands. Sometimes I repolish the tops ...most times not. Light carbon has a cooling effect on the piston when being run according to most everything I`ve read. Triple 0 steel wool does a good job also.
