Just barely made it back home!

Went for a short ride about 3 miles today,turned off bike and wouldn't start not battery.push startrd bike and it fired up less than two miles it started losing power.no lights no horn no signals but kept running long enough to pull into driveway on maybe one or two cylinders.....pulled side covers opened seat checked all connections and fuses I could see nothing wrong. clicked a few times then nothing, maybe a short in starter button and or run and off button, turn button to off get power to neutral and oil light turn button to run and get nothing please help the sun is shinning.

Check the voltage on your battery to see if it is up to snuff. if it sat for any length of time it might have drained down just enough to start initially but the short trip didn't give it time to charge fully

The odd thing is it fired right up this morning only been off maybe since thursday,and it is a new battery :?

The battery recovers after a bit of time. I'd say your bike isn't charging since your voltage went down so low that the blinkers wouldn't work.

Your battery is definitely run down. You may have a short somewhere, but you need a fully-charged battery to do any realistic checks.

Before doing anything else, check the fluid levels in the battery, then give it a s l o w charge. Overnight at a charge rate of one or two amps per hour, maximum.

Remove the battery from the bike before doing any of this.

After charging, get a multimeter and check the battery, then re-install the battery and start the bike, then check the voltage running into the battery.

Hey Guys, Is it possible to have a short in the starter button and run and off switch unit, the button itself seems to be staying in further than it should?

pull and check your fuses. I had one that the end cap was broken. It looked fine and would let me start the bike then a few miles down the road it would heat up and lose contact.
