Paint job question ? for the paint experts out there

I am painting my GS850G I have been following the instructions I found on this site. But I was wondering if anyone knows if I were to apply more clear coat a few days later is there any problem in doing so. and also I was considering applying some decals to the tank and was thinking about putting clear coat over it. is there any reason why I shouldn't do that?

I've been shooting some PPG Urethane Base-coat, clear coat (DCU-2042), which states that the clear coat must be sanded before another application, if more than 3 days old....check the cut-sheet for whatever brand you used to make sure of any particulars...as for going over stickers, that would probably be OK, but check to make sure the ink doesn't run first Bring it by and show 'er off when you get finished!!

        Hi,

I can cut custom or reproduction emblems for our Suzuki's..
Any color or style scheme so you can also get that custom look instead of factory. . Professional exterior vinyl and CAN be clearcoated over.
I tricked out my GS650 and clear coated, looks *@%^$*@%^$*@%^$*@%^$a.

I also have over 5000 graphics in my library do touch her up for Spring.

Depends on your decals. You just need to make sure that they don't melt and/or run when the clear is applied. One trick to make it a little easier on your decal is to mist a light coat of clear on (just over the decal), let it sit a bit, then spray your wet coat. This gives the decal a bit of protection from the solvents in the clear, if they want to attack the decal material.

Well, my painter shot two finish coats of clear over the decals and everything's fine. I assume he did the required sanding between coats.
He does the HRC and Yoshimura race teams so I assume M Mladin is happy!
