    Timesert "?"

Can anyone tell me what size timesert I would need for a sparkplug hole in my '82 Gs1100E?

    Thanks

would a timesert be the same size as the proper helicoil? From reading other posts it seems that the proper helicoil would be m14 X 1.25. Is this correct?
    Thanks

Looks right to me. 14mm with a 1.25 thread pitch.

Just make sure to use lots of grease to catch the shavings and clean it frequently when drilling and taping for the timesert/helicoil You can also attach a small hose to a vacuum and insert it into the spark plug hole to clean the cylinder

According to NGK Spark Plug codes for the D8EA spark plug D=12mm thread diameter, E=19mm thread reach.
Timesert doesn't seem to have an insert for a 12mm diameter plug with this long of a reach. Does this mean I will have to get the 14mm insert and switch to a B8ES plug? (B=14mm thread diameter) If so will the B8ES plug work as well for me?
          Thanks for the replies.
