Another example of why this site could use a "parts number" section! Can I get a witness? (see "letter to the editor" section)

If your tank emblems are the same as my '79 GS1000E, the part # is 68111-45010. They are 7 1/2" long and the screws go inside the "U" and in between the "K" and "I". If you want to see them, visit my website below and check the "Black Beauty" pic' which is a close up view of the entire bike. I just bought a set from the Suzuki dealer, $27 for the pair.
I thought I had the side cover emblem # but the dealer did'nt write down the part # on the receipt. They we're still available 2 years ago for $24/ea. Hope they still carry them. I see them NOS on E-bay once in a while. Good luck. And on the seventh day, after resting from all that he had done,God went for a ride on his GS!
Upon seeing that it was good, he went out again on his ZX14! But just a little bit faster!

I would also check out a Australian outfit:
BadgeReplicas Australia specialises in high quality motorcycle tank and side-cover badge replicas for , Suzuki, Yamaha, Kawasaki, Laverda, Benelli, Moto Guzzi, Ducati, Other Japanese and some European and American brands. We also supply classic Suzuki parts.
with the $AUS/$US exchange rate you might get a good deal, even with postage.
Brian is involved in the vintage jap club over here in Victoria. I gave him a z650 badge to copy, and can vouch for his work.
