    anti-sieze on exhaust

    is it ok to ue anti-sieze on exhaust bolts...to keep them from bonding to the aluminum again?...i've heard a few different answers on this, so ill ask the pros.

    yes its just fine. use the high temp stuff though. it gets up to 1500 degrees or so.

      i was told ...............

      I was told to NEVER use antisieze on aluminum . theres something in the anti that doesnt work well with aluminum ........i would ask around more before you try it !

        I am an aircraft maintenance apprentice, we use it on aircraft exhaust all the time with no issues. your not putting it on the aluminum anyway, your putting it on the exhaust stud

          Yes and positively. It is a recommended practice by knowledgeable motorcycle mechanics. You "should" do this.
