    rear tire fitting

    Good mornings everybody,

    I owned a 1980 GS1100E.
I got a 130 at the rear, can i fit a 140 or 150 without modifing the swingarm?
If yes, what mod must be done, sprocket spacing, chain, grinding.....
I can do minor modificationg if i need to.

    Thank you all

Hello yes u can fit up to a 180 section tire in the stock swinger without major mods only new spacers and an offset sprocket. To find out the exact details go to the Performance Mods section on this site and go to Major Kat rebuild and go through the pages and u will find Katman shows great detailed drawings and dimentions on how to fit a 180 tire. Good luck Archie

If you still are using standard mags a 130 tyre is the only one that is usable because of the rim width being only 2.50in
