    Rub a dub

You can buy rubbing compound at any hardware store and polish it all up. You'll need a buffing wheel or an attachment that fits on your drill. It sounds like fun but it's really hard work and takes a lot of time. There's a place near me that does it professionally....their stuff ends up looking almost like chrome...but it's really expensive!

For polishing I find Turtle Wax Chrome polish to work very well.
If your really greased up then before you polish try this:

          Aluminum Coated

Most of the problem is the clearcoat that is preventing you from polishing it. If the clear is yellow, cracked or covering corosion you must use a stripper first to remove it. Then polish the bare aluminum!
