I have used them and had a great experience. Quick shipping. But, I hear that they are perhaps a little on the expensive side.

They helped me find every single rubber piece that was ever made as well as a few other parts for my 27 year old bike. The prices on these items at least were reasonable and the shipping was awesome! They only charged me 6 dollars for shipping and it broke out into 4 diff shipments due to coming from diff places and 2 back orders. With the back orders considered I still only waited 10 days to get everything!
I was VERY pleased. They went out of their way to help me.
That has been my experience with them.

I've bought one or two items from Ron Ayers for the 550, I found the part numbers elsewhere and they had the parts. Looks like they just don't want to be bothered though, so Bike Bandit is probably worth the extra money. They've also updated their fiches to include pre-80 GS models..... YES! I also see that side covers are now available for my bike, a little pricey but the're very hard to find, especially the left one that I need.

thats what i am saying with that post.
ronayer doen't have the info but if you have the oem part number they have the part or can order it for you. for instence bike bandit wanted 29 bucks for each intake boot, so i found the part number and enteried it in ronayer and they have them for 22 bucks, so do the math i saved 28 bucks using ronayer, bike bandit charges you a premuim for the use of the micro fiche they have. so i you follow the post i posted that web site has access to all the old bike microfiche and still has the oem part numbers and their prices are competive with ronayers so all yo uneed to do is write down the part # and take it over to ron ayer for better prices.

Mr J: That's not completely correct. They do not have microfiche at their place for bikes over 20 years old. If you can figure out the part number they can get the part and the price will come up on their website.

I've used worldofpowersports.com, they are cheaper than BikeBandit no doubt, and the parts get to me a lot quicker (I am in Ohio, and they are in Illinois). BikeBandit is in California. So if you live in the corn-belt, you definetely can't go wrong with them.
The best thing to do is just call the 800 number and ask for the parts you need. Had all the parts for my 78 gs550e, and were on my doorstep in about 5 business days.
