    Carb Identification.

Hello all. I am a new poster and have a question that I couldn't find an answer to. How do I tell exactly which carbs are on my bike? I have a '82 GS750E and the only id on the carbs is Mikuni. Cannot find a model number or other id anywhere.

    Please help.

There is a number stamped on your carbs somewhere... perhaps the mounting plate. If I had the number, I could ID the carbs from it. Otherwise, describe your carbs. Do you have a caliper to measure the inner diameter of the part that goes into the rubber intake manifold? Are the tops round or other shaped? I am not much of an expert on GS750 stuff but know a bit about Mikuni carbs.

      Probably 32mm CVs.

        Stock?

Billy is right. If they're stock, they're constant velocity type carbs...BS32SS.
        1980 GS1100E....Number 15!

The numbers were actually printed in ink on my bikes. The specific number just identifies what jets are in the body since just about all of the CVs are the same aside for the diameter.
