Usually, popping is caused by not enough fuel. What color are the spark plugs centers burning?

They are burning black excecpt for the #1 plug which is burning grey to white and it is getting fuel because it is always wet. If I take #4 wire off you can hear it miss now if you take the #1 wire off there is no pops and no missing.

Also make sure all of the exhaust connections are tight and snug. If you check where the headers meet up to the pipes, ocassionally they work loose.

The number 1 plug burning grey to white means it is LEAN. It may be getting fuel, but the mixture is too lean for the cylinder to run normally. I think getting your carbs synchronized will probably do wonders for the way the bike runs. I would check the induction boots on the #1 carb for air leaks.
