    I've never seen one but the non-E 400s, 425s, and 450s have different cylinder heads. Even if the carbs do bolt on they will probably have different jets inside. The rest of the bikes are very similar but wheel sizes and styles do vary. If the body work looks the same it probably is. I've seen pictures 87s 450s with the same same body work as my 82 400.

      Ok, carbs yanked, carbs cleaned, carbs replaced(not easily) and oil changed(full of gas, again) and the bike started up. Still not firing on the right cylinder, so it looks like I get to start troubleshooting the ignition system, yippee! Oh to have money to buy a perfectly running bike with a warrantee......but alas, I have my GS, with no warrantee, but it does run well when it runs, now if only I could get it to that stage I'll keep you all updated, let me know if anything crosses any of your brilliant minds that I should try/look for. Thanks all,
