Starting in the cold...is getting me crazy !!!

    Hi Folks!!!

My GS 650 MD only starts in the cold with full choke and injecting some drops of fuel through the plug holes (4).
If I try to start it without this procedure, the engine starts only for 2 or 3 seconds and dies suddenly.
After this, it is a waste of time to try to start the engine again, without the "manual injection".

    Battery is full charge.
Spark plugs are new, and cleaned.
The coils have a blue spark in all cilinders (4).
Carbs have been cleaned and synch...or my mechanic has forgotten something?

Do I need to check the carbs for a clogged circuit or an air/fuel leaking?
I don?t really know what to do!!!!!!!
I?m very bored about this every day ritual , before and after going to work .

    Eliseo.

if this is something new for the bike it is sounds like a carb rebuild /cleaning is in order. if this is something it has done all along then it sounds like a good candidate for a jet kit .imho Mark

It definitely needs some carb attention Eliseo. I'll bet your enrichner((choke circuit)) is not operating. Do you have a repair manual to see if it is at least connected to the choke cable.

        Dom :

The choke cable it is working properly and the starter shaft slides softly.
Maybe my carbs, have an internal problem.
Suzuki service manual, doesn?t have a good information about the starter circuit; so I don?t know how to enrich the mixture.
But, when the engine is warm, it is possible to acelerate pulling the choke lever.
