    Installation of Oil Cooler

I would like to know if anyone has experience installing an oil cooler on a GS1100E. I have a 1983 GS1100E and it runs pretty hot and I would like to install an oil cooler, but don't know where to start.

You also use an oil cooler from an 1150. It uses the two gallerys on either side of the oil filter cover. The lines from the 1150 match perfectly with the 1100 block. You'd need to build a bracket to mount the cooler of course.
If you do this though, you must change to an 1150 oil filter cover to force the oil to pass through the cooler.

On my 1100E my oil cooler bolted up to where the horn brackets are and the the horns were relocated on the frame under the coil area. This is for a Lockhart cooler. I'm not sure about other brands.
