    Damien,
I don't think I'm doing anything tomorrow. Give me a call in the AM.
BTW it is supposed to rain in the morning, but then clear up. Maybe we can take the petcock out of your bike (again) and have a look at chaging the main/reserve levels.

That would be absolutely awesome Bud.
I will call you around 10:00 am.

Even better!! My cousin is coming over to go riding tonight. Tomorrow all three of us can hang out and ride and work on the petcock.
      Rockin!

WOOHOO!!! No more filling up every 2 days!!!!
It's such a stupid feeling sitting at the gas station looking at gas inside your tank and the bike wont run off of reserve (on).

          Lol, bad feelings no more!!

Hey, good idea, Robinjo. I'll dig out my digital. I think Damien has a digital, too.

He sure does now he just has to learn to resize them to 640x480 using MS Paint

Hehehe...that goes way back. I'm always resistant to resizing.

Hey all, I just found out that the tank on my bike is actually a 3.4 gallon tank. I guess running out at 2.23 gallons makes more sense now. I'll be upgrading to any of the GS750E(x) tanks this weekend hopefully.

Thanks all and thanks to my new manual too hehe.

                      3.4

Well, if it is, it's from a 1979 LN model.......

(Maybe Harrison stuck it on there when you weren't looking! )

It could be. I've found parts on this bike that dont necessarily correspond with the VIN number and manual information. The tank may have been swapped out as well.

                          Hmmmmm

That's interesting...I'm surprised it would fit but according to my manual, that was the only GS750 that came with a 3.4 tank.

Really? The tank on the bike looks like it fits the way I would imagine stock would be but it's just too bloody small. I'm not used to it is all.
Once I get the "E" model 5.0 gallon tank I'll be back to good.

                              Yeah

Yeah, that seems odd to me,too. Because of the difference in volume, I'd think the underside configuration would be far different. I suppose the manual could be wrong but I think the part numbers for 80 and 81 are the same and mine is a 4.0 for sure.

Hmmm...I'm confused. I faintly recall putting about 3 and change into the tank way back when I first filled it up after the paint job I gave it. I'm still going to get an "E" model tank this weekend though. The tunnel should be the same hopefully. These bikes all have the same backbone on the frame right?
