I hope I didn't damage the Dyna ignition......?
Ok, the answer is no. Rotating the engine doesn't change anything.
I did some testing. Again, I have a Dyna ignition in place of the points.
There is a red wire and a white wire coming out of one side of the ignition module. The other module has a red and black wire. The four wires go into a grey sheathing. At the other end, only 3 wires come out. They are - black, white and only ONE red wire. This has not changed since the bike was running. I ran new wires from there to the new coils. The new coils are testing 4 ohms. They are supposed to be 3 ohms right?
TESTING:
KEY OFF - All 4 wires test negative with a test light
KEY ON - All wires become positive but white remains negative.
If I disconnect the white from the coil, KEY OFF is dim negative and key on makes the test light brighter.
CONTINUITY - Red wire at the ignition has continuity with positive wires on coils. White wire has continuity with engine block.

Mixing wires up.
Someone suggested above that maybe I don't have the coils hooked up right. But now that I think of it, hooking them up wrong would still give some spark wouldn't it. If all the spark plugs are out of the bike connected to the wires and the threads are grounded, how do the plugs know what order they need to be in?

Thank you for posting that. I think that confirms that I have blown the Dyna S module.
I have power to the red wires and to the + on each coil. When I lost spark on 1 and 4, I switched the coils and then lost spark on 2 and 3 instead. Then it died completely.
I guess I gotta buy another Dyna S - Damn! Well at least maybe my Accel coils are still good I hope.

You've been a great help, I'll let you know how I make out. Where's the best place to get a replacement Dyna S?
