hi folks i am new here and new to the 4 cyl. motors i have always rode vtwin .i have a few questions
is it realy safe to run the rpms up on these bikes and what would you consider safe.
i would assume this bike is stock and would like to get more toque down low .will that help these bikes wheelie.what sprockets should i use top speed is really not a factor .is there anyone making parts for a bike this old? any ideas would be great

    thank you

    Rev it up

These engines are pretty indestructable, rev it all the way up to red line!!!! The head and cylinder design are good. The real area of weakness is the charging system. what kind of wheelie's do you want to do? If crazy sport bike action is what you want you might reconsider your purchase.... However I will say this, if you can not make a bike do a wheelie you are not trying hard enough. I have never found a bike I could not wheelie off a dead stop or off a roll, rev it and drop some clutch!! And there are lots of parts from the dealer, dennis kirk, jc whitney, etc...

i am hoping for low speed power wheelies if posible i am not looking for superbike action from this bike (my buell gets that job). i am just sick of my buddy doing power wheelies beside me on his 82 honda cb750f.just figured i could at least try to keep up. we both have the same buells but when we got older bikes he went honda i went suzuki i dont like not being able to keep up . i could clutch wheelie the heck out of this bike but thats not what i am looking for

      thanks
