    Chop Screwy~~~project bike

    It's an 83 GS450gad.
    Forks are 4 in over.
    Shocks lowered it 2 in.
Drag bars with 7 in dog bone risers
    Iron Cross sissy bar
    Suicide shifter (it's a 2 speed auto tranny) ;-)
I am waiting on the finished sheet metal/plastic
I'll probably go with straight pipes when I get to that point.
    It's been a fun project....

I know the feeling. I'm chopping the mufflers off my ratbike and bodging on some punched out harley cans this weekend.
        It should be awesome.

To be honest when I read this.....I was.....apprehensive.
Then I saw the pictures and really like it.
It's very cool and very well done.

The suicide shifter is a nice touch.
          What color(s)?
          The "other" chopper looks great.
I haven't ridden a chopper in years, but love the look.
          Nice job.
Let us know when it's done.

I'm leaning towards a light red with Chop Screwy in white (in oriental font) on the tank and just CS on the side covers.

                Cool project.

But......no front brake? Is that rear drum enough stopping power to be safe?

                  80 gs 1000e,

If the rear brake isn't enough to be safe I'll put the front back on.

It's not my primary ride. I plan on riding it along side my wife who also has a stock GS450 auto tranny.

She is a 35 to 45 mph kinda rider so it should be Okay.
