ok i just installed a regulator from a honda 450 nighthawk. it has wires 3 yellow black green and red. i wired it up an it is charging fine. but i went out this morning to try to start her up an she would barely turn over, almost like the regulator was draining the battery while the bike was turned off. an my battery was fully charged the day before. any ideas on what could be the problem ??? thanks guys

Perhaps the Honda nighthawk regulator doesn't work with the Suzuki GS system? Did you find out if that R/R would be compatible with the GS Charging system first?

yah lots of ppl do this conversion, lol i fixed the problem anyways but thanks for your reply. i had the positive wire wired directly to the battery, thas what was draining the system, i had to wire it to a wire that becomes hot when the ignition was turned on. thanks thoComment
