shaft to chain conv.

First all i'm new here and i race dwarf cars with the gs1100 motor.
my queston is....I found a great deal on gs1150 shaft drive but not sure if it will work in my car..i turn the motor side ways in the car and weld a drive shaft yoke to the chain spocket. can this motor be converted to chain drive?

I'm confused, are you trying to take an 1150 chain drive, and make it a shaft drive, or do you have an 1100G shaft drive motor you're trying to make chain drive?

In that case, what I said in that 'other forum' stands. It's just not worth the trouble. Buy a motor that's already chain drive.

Ok,,thanks,,,i was just hoping it would be possable, getting the whole bike for 500 only has a wireing short. still might buy it for the street.

why not 'not' turn the motor, and hookup a u-joint directly to the output shaft of the transmission? (besides the necessity to re-engineer the whole car, that is, hehe)
