    Replace the wheel bearing(s) in the Rear wheel

    It was trouble free for 500 miles.....Took someone for a ride yesterday and afterwords it started making a clicking sound...I am at the end of my rope here...Any ideas??

    I JUST PUT MY FRONT TIRE ON YESTERDAY AND NOW IM HEARING THE SAME THING AND ITS NEW BEARINS, MAYBE ITS THE SPEEDOMETER CABLE......MAYBE YOU PUT TO MUCH TORQ ON THE AXLE NUT OR NOT ENOUGH, THATS WHAT I WOULD CHECK 1ST.

      I think you may be right ...I may have overtourqued the rear axle....I will check that tonight..Anyone know the tourque specs??

        Alwyn Check your rear sprocket and see if it is loose. :?

          Torque Specs

          Specs for a 83-86 GS750,
          rear axle nut 50-80 N.m
