Has anyone ran Battlax BT 45`s??

Need new tires for one of my 1150`s. Ones on it are not worn out but I have noticed they a dry rotted to much for me. After looking over the tire charts and manufactor`s I think I may give these a try. Before you say another brand this is the catch. I am going to a 150 rear and several brands/model tires don`t carry this size. I like the dunlop 501 but not the ridiculous price. Basically its these 45`s or michelin model 50`s. Thanks for the reply`s!!!!!

BT 45's are great I am on my second season with one on the front, I rode with K591 Race compound for years. I find these just as sticky with the added bonus of deeper threads and dual compound. I am running a BT 010 in the back and love that to. The only draw back is that the 45 only comes in a 100 instead of a 110 for a 19 inch rim, but with an 1150 you don't have this problem.

I run the BT 45's all the way around front and rear. I also dragrace with it and it seems to hold up all year depending on my burnouts and miles. I usually put about 5000 miles riding on each year or more and about 50 dragstrip runs.

Yes this tire is a great performance tire for the $$.
I used to use Metz comp k on my rz350 but the BT';s sticks awesome.
I really like the thread pattern on the front tire for wet ridin.
Trust me we have lots of rain here in Vancouver BC Canada.

I have BT45's on my '86 SRX600, and they rail in corners. Surprising really, but definitely cool.

I ran a set over the Tractor and they were great!!! Only thing of any concern was the way the front feathered heavily, I only discovered this trying to stop in the rain (YES it WAS a hairy moment ) keep an eye on the depth of the blocks on the front and it is cool, great tyre awaesome value too.

I've ridden on them also and strongly recommend them but I didn't get the milage that maninblk got. I got about 3500 before they needed to be changed in back. Double that for the front.

I got 5500-6000 miles (9000kms) out of mine on an 1150 (the Tractor ) and not just croozin either , it was however admittedly mostly commuting to and from work which is mostly a straight run so I was impressed.

How come everyone gets better mileage than I when it comes to tires? I did find that when I went with a 130/90-17 I got much better mileage than a 140/80-17...the compressed profile of the 140 caused greater wear.

Had them on a honda oncee and they were great. seemed to last and provide godd traction wet and dry.

Hap I have bought a later model 1150 wheel for mine(84 model). The rear on a 84 was a 3 inch rim the 86 was a 3.5. They both recommend a 130 although the later model has the wider wheel. I know guys regualrly put 140`s on a 3 so I think a 150 will work on a 3.5 and according to tire size charts for bias tires the 3.5 is wide enough. I know some will ask why the wide tire. Its all me...after having hayabusa`s with 200`s and a custom cbx with a 170 the 130 kinda looks like a moped tire. I`m going to get the 45`s...thanks to everyone for thier help. It seems they are a great tire with good pricing. If anyone has a comment on the 150 size please do! Thanks again!
