I dunno man. I gave up and ordered a MAC exhaust for the bike. I'm taking it to the shop to get installed this week.
After that I'm not *@%^$*@%^$*@%^$*@%^$ing with the thing ever again.
I want to ride, not have the bike down all bloody summer.
So don't look for any more "intake\exhaust\performance" mods from me.
Everything from here on out will be appearance ONLY!!
Good luck with yours dude. I'm thinking that running straight pipes uses a lot more fuel than the stock system. I think the float levels need to be raised/lowered so that the float bowls keep more gas in them.
If that isn't the answer then it just means that we have broken our bikes by running straight pipes.
