Got a '78 GS750, found a tank, sidecovers, rear fender from a '77 GS750, so I just need to find out if they will fit on my bike (mainly the sidecovers, but a spare tank would be nice, too)...

What is different between the '77-'79 GS750s? Aren't they the same bikes?
