I was looking at an `82 gs650gl 9000miles, seat and paint are good, shocks need to be recharged all around, needs new tires. Some rust on chrome. Weird noise from engine like a chatter (front, top sounded like something was loose almost btu found nothing), don't know if that is normal, but one of the exhaust pipes was louder than the other, wasn't sure if it was an exhaust valve not closing all the way linking the two noises together maybe. I was wondering how much it would be worth. Also how much to get the shocks recharged granted nothing major wrong. Thanks!!!

Shocks have to be replaced, OEM are not servicable
Air cooled are tipically noisey

So you are looking at least $500 if you do it yourself ????
$1200+ if you have the work done???
May be worth more but I would only offer $200 -
I wouldn't go over $500.

and you could have a good running bike.

Thanks! I did offer 500 and nothing more. Somebody came and bought it for 650. Thanks for the tips. I didn't realize the whole shock had to be replaced instead of being recharged.Comment
