    cam bolts torque setting question.

    i have an 81 gs 850g and i am replacing the cam gasket and i am unable to find the torque settings that i need to set the cam bolts to. can anyone help me out with some info please. any help is greatly appreciated. tks in advance.

    according to my manual,camshaft cap bolts--7.5 lbf/ft. Cylinder head cover bolts (this is the one you want I think) --6.5 lbf/ft

      tks nobby. nother question, does it have a certain order in which to tighten them? and also what manual do you have? i am unable to find any books for info i need. tks again.

        Usually you can find a GS850 book on Ebay They are still available new
        If you don't have manual If you start in the middle and work in a circular pattern it will be fine. PUT A VERY small dab of silicon gasket maker on the cam end plugs where they fit into the head

        edit Make sure ALL of the old gasket is removed or the cover will break
