Cutting out GS400
I've got a intermittent cutting out problem on my GS400. Originally, I thought it was due to a vacuum building on the gas tank, but I have ruled that out. It doesn't happen all the time, but when it does, it happens at 65-80 mph. I drove 50 miles north, and it cut out above 65 mph. However, on the way home, I was doing 80 easy, with no cutting out at all. What do you all think it might be?Tags: None

I suggest fuel starvation. I have that problem on my 450. Fuel hose is too restrictive for the juice to get to the carbs.
When it was going fine at 80, was the wind to your back? and when it was happening at 65, was the wind to your face?
I find that my fuel supply can't keep up with 3/4 to full throttle. If I jeep it there I will run intoo starvation.

First, though, do your symptoms seem like fuel starvation or is that not it?
If it is fuel starvation, Doing the Pingel upgrade will definitely provide plenty of flow. I've drained gas from my 450 petcock before. Painfully slow. But it comes absolutely gushing out of my 1100's Pingel. And that's using only one of the double ports!!!

I do think its starvation. I'm a little hesitant to reset float height, because that means I'm gonna have to take that sucker apart. But I guess I might have to anyways
