    rear shock spring ?

    can you disassemble the rear shocks and remove the springs so i can paint them?

    I heard you need a spring compressor to do it Ryan.
    If you don't use one there is a high risk of you being injured when the spring decompresses.

    Please be careful.

      so i need a fat ass to sit on the bike then i need rope to tie the spring compressed, then the fat ass can get off the bike eat some pizza and i can remove the shock.??????

        Ryan,

        You''ve got to be careful with these. Spring compressors are made from metal because of the high pressure produced when the spring is compressed. Rigging up a compressor with rope is very risky and if it would fail while you were removing the stop, you could easily smash your fingers into oblivion (or other body parts too). $30 will get you a decent spring compressor...
