    Rearset for a 77 gs750??

Being a taller rider (6'4''), im looking for a rearset for my bike and have seen the raask outfit and a few others. Most are out of the UK or USA and I cant find any alternates here in Canada (YET). Just looking for feedback on the quality and operation of any rearsets being used. Allready have aftermarket bars on the bike and would be a more compoftable ride with a swept back foot peg position.

I think you will like rear-sets on your bike as I put lower bars and rear-sets on my 1980 GS1100E shortly after I got it. I had to order them from the US. If you have not bought much from the US, avoid using UPS.

You will get stung for hefty 'brokerage' fees even though there may be no duty on your parts. Everyone I know feels the same about using UPS for delivery in Canada. Try to have the supplier use USPS.

You might try checking motorbiketoronto.com or blackfoot.com (Calgary) or sales@2canucks.com for your rearsets.

    Hope this helps.

I have Raasks on my 7/11 hybrid ('79 750 rolling chassis), no problems with quality, but they were way too high for me, so I replaced the mounting plates with some I made up. The footrest is now about 3" behind the stock position, but no higher. The Raasks were about 2-3" higher as well as further back.

        Thanks guys,
I had never heard those things about UPS and i will be sure to take them into account when ordering state side next time..

I figured the rearsets brought the foot peg location a bit higher too. The ideal location WOULD be 3-4'' straight back with little or no rise at all. I currently use the rear pegs at higway speeds (actually rides real nice despite the risk factor).

PICK UP YOUR OWN PARTS!! (Nice option for motorbiketoronto.com, me living pretty close to the GTA). Ill continue scoping all the older rides in town and inquire about rearsets used, still leaning in the raask direction right now. I have access to some pretty high tech machine lathes through a friend of a friend and can possibly get him to fabricate "no rise" brackets for the rearsets I end up getting.

          Hi mark
If you have any luck finding anything around the gta let us know .

Your friend should be able to modify a set from another bike thats the route I'm considering
