You know what bud, you're wholly and completely right.
Why I didn't see this before I don't know, but I thank God that I know it now. I can't wait for my 115's to arrive!!!

Detman, you can't say the Emgo's suck and are to blame. It is your fault.

Okay okay, I'm taking my whupping with grace today.
It is my fault. I chose the wrong main jets and didn't account for wet weather.

      Thank you.

If memory serves, the stock jetting in a 700 is 122.5 too. I think it has a lot to do with the size of the venturi.

As soon as i installed the K&N oval cone filters off of my bike the high speed miss cleared up and has been running strong ever since.
that's because oval filters flow worse than conical air filters. i flow benched a K&N oval vs. a Emgo conicial versus no filter. the K&N took about 5-8% flow, the Emgo ADDED 1% flow because it streamlined airflow into the throttle body I was testing!

what this meant is your rejetting was off with the Emgo's and probably didn't have enough fuel for the air it was seeing. With the K&N's you are more dialed in apparently, but not as efficient.

Maybe you guys with water in the air filters problem could build some kind of small rain shround around the carb filters. speaking of rain, it's freaking POURING here in NC right now.

I see that the crappy MD weather has moved down to NC.

i'm thinking hard on that shroud you talked about. But I shouldn't have these issues once I go to smaller main jets next monday.

lolyou must be seeing my bike inthe back of my truck.. Hurt my back and cant get it out so I wrapped them in walmart bags to keep as much of the excess rain out I could.. Should see it a big red and black 1150 with blue bags popping out the sides, looks like a really FAST shopping cart
