fuel gage overflow tube
On my 78 1000e the fuel tank overflow tube seems to be dripping gas. A small spot on the garage floor in the moring. Is this just the gasket, or something internal in the sending unit. I really dont need the gage as it doenst read right anyway, so if i have to disable the gage to correct this it really wouldnt be a problem.Tags: None

if the gas is coming from the vent tube it is a internal leak and the sender will need to be replaced or sealed.

I would try tightening the screws. Don't over tighten them. That rubber gasket lasts a long time. If it's bad, you should be able to buy a new one. I did about 4 years ago.And on the seventh day, after resting from all that he had done,God went for a ride on his GS!
Upon seeing that it was good, he went out again on his ZX14! But just a little bit faster!
