Can not get the Carb out of the 1980 GS550L

I am in the middle of trying to remove the carb from my 1980 GS550L but can not get it out. I have all the cables and hoses removed and it is out of the engine flanges. I do not seem to have enough room to get them out of the airbox flanges. Anyone have any suggestions??

    Thank you for your help!!!!

you yank. hard. really hard. wiggle it up and down. you're best bet is to pull it away from the engine, so the head boots come off the carbs first, then you can twist, wiggle, curse and tug the carbs out.

If you love it, let it go. If it comes back....... You probably highsided.

Make sure and unscrew the airbox, so atleast you can jiggle it around while trying to remove them. And remember, you own the bike, it doesn't own you. Show them carbs who is boss.... lol
