Any suggestions on how to keep an 1100 seat cherry? I've got one with NO rips in it, and would like to keep it that way. I am not going to use it for a couple of years until the '82 is eligible for collector's plates.Kevin

well if your'e going to mothball the bike..... Take the seat off, put it in a plastic trash back, suck the air out, and seal it. This will keep the plastic... erm... plastic. and prevent cracking. and by putting it away in a safe place means it won't get rips in it.You'd have to be crazy to be sane in this world -Nero

cotton won't do it. Beucase cotton will let it breathe. that's exactly what you don't want. breathable materials will allow the chemicals that make plastic, plastic to escape.You'd have to be crazy to be sane in this world -Nero
