I was wondeging if any one can tell me the chain size i need for an 82 gs550m.

I'm not sure, but if you take the chain to a parts shop I'm sure their parts book will have the info. If not, they can match up the old one.And on the seventh day,after resting from all that he had done,God went for a ride on his GS!
Upon seeing that it was good, he went out again on his ZX14! But just a little bit faster!

i'll let you know i a couple hours gotta go to the garge to get the book
it's probly a 530 110 link o ring chain, that was for my 550t and it had a 15 front sproket and a 50 rear sproket. what is your sproket set up

Re: chain size
Just measure the distance pin center to pin center on the sideplates. #530 and #520 chain will be 5/8" pin center to pin center. #630 chain measures 3/4" pin to pin and #420/#430 will be 1/2" pin to pin. Take your chain off and count the number of links to get length needed.
