rear light problem

Hi there,
I'm having trouble with my rear light, the running light doesn't seem to work. The brake light works fine. There's only one bulb in there though, so is there a short somewhere or do I just need a new bulb? Thanks.

Probably the bulb, that's the first thing to try anyway. If that's not it, follow the wires & check all the connections.

have you tried looking at the bulb to see if it is burned out????

i looked at the bulb, and it seemed fine. but i went to the parts store, picked up a new one after the guy spent 15 minutes searching for the right one, and it's working fine now. thank goodness it was just the bulb. it feels good to spend only $1.50 to fix a problem.
