    AirBox question

My petcock leaked bad and got gas everywhere. In cleaning it out of the airbox, I had to remove the screen. Can't seem to get it back in. I had someone actually tell me to leave it out, but I don't think I want to do that. What I'm thinking is to put in the inner plastic frame for the air filter, then lay the screen in, then put the foam over top of that, then the outer plastic frame. Looks like it should work fine that way. Any thoughts? Can I do this, if not permanently, at least until the end of the season?

Any changes in the air filter assembly will probably require carb rejetting. These bikes are very picky about airflow.

Do you really think that will be necessary doing it this way since the actual amount of airflow shouldn't really change?

It won't effect how it runs The screen is there to protect the air filter should the bike backfire thru the carbs
