Will my GS handle this headlight?

Will my '78 GS 750 EC's electrical system handle a headlight that is rated at 100W high and 80W low? I sure hope so, I really like seeing where I am going!

    Thanks

It can, but you will need to do a little rewiring.
the stock wires and switch for the headlight wont handle it, fortunatly it is a pretty simple thing, to rewire for a brighter bulb.

Set it up so the existing switch and wiring controls a relay and have the headlight on the relay with wiring that can take the load.

There is a easier, if maybe not cheaper solution.
I just upgraded my 83 to a Krypton bulb, it uses a lot less power than a standard H4 and I have noticed no elec difference, just a blindingly bright light down the tunnel......
Of course mine came with stock H4 not old sealed beam but I thing the rating is low enough.
If you got seald beam and its cycle standard 7" lamp you can get the H4 lens at the boneyard and I got my Kryptons off e-bay
