    what the... where do... HUH?

Well, Some of you know that I am shoehorning a 1000 into my 750. the 1000 is a 79, in a 78 750 frame... my ? is in regards to the stator... it seems the 1000 has different wire colors, and an extra wire... how do I wire this into my RR unit, or will the 750 stator fit?

No the 750 stator will not work. It has a smaller power output than the 1000. I would dump the Suzuki R/R and install an Electrex R/R

the RR already is an electrex unit, atleast that's what I was told when I bought it... anyways, I'm running out of money for this real quick and don't wanna drop 100+ dollars in the final hour. does anyone just have a wiring diagram?

Also, I'm not concerned about electrical output differences, all electrics are 750. The only thing that has changed at this point is the engine, otherwise it's bonestock. (and no, do not tell me to keep it stock instead of giving me a solution to my problem. This bike will not be stock while I own it.)

I'm not sure if this is 100% accurate, but I know that suzuki was famous for the multi colored stator wires which weree apparently just to discourage us home mechanics from working on our own toys. Basically, the signal generated is supposed to provide the same output at each of the wires in a cyclic fashion...in other words...the colors don't matter EXCEPT for that forth wire, wich is a ground , I think. It has been a couple of months since I had mine apart, so i don't remember the color for the ground.

            wiring

Seems to me that Electrex has on their site a troubleshooting flowchart that gives the colors for the R/R. Try there. Bob
