    Boyer Bransden ignition mark3

can anyone please give me the correct timing proceedure for this ignition system when affixed to my GS750 (1977)

The barely readable instructions seem to say to warm the engine for 5 mins then time at 4500rpm between the 2 marks (after T and F)

    any ideas

it seems weird to me to time the engine at high RPms.

It's wierd, but that's the correct procedure The noise doesn't do a lot for your relations with neighbours though. 8O

You need a timing light to see the marks

Ok, people thanks for your reply's. another Q:

as Ive said before, the instructions are barely readable but I think Ive got it right.

Now, Do I time it so the timing is set midway between the 2 timing marks ( after the F mark)??? (this is how Ive done it) but since installing this ignition the low end performance is great, but the high end seems to have dropped off and it doesnt seem to want to pull as hard uphills.

Im wondering if its the timing needing to be further advanced or retarded.

The F mark should align at 1500 rpm or less at 2500 or higher the advance mark should align
