I Think they are from an 83-84 1100. They are also available for a 750 and a turbo version of both displacements, the only difference being injector flow rate (as far as i know).

Is this the head I would be looking for?

If it is I would like to add it to my christmas list and will expect to receive it from one of you wonder full GSR members

That would work. Intakes would be fine. You need to ask for a photo of the exhaust ports. That's the only way to tell if it's the 'best' type.

hi im just wondering ...i have a twin motorcycle if i got two separate throttle bodys or on bigger one with a manifold and i had small injectors from a car installed aiming right into the head had them triggered by the left right coils and had the right amount of pressure into the small rail would it run and if i had a throttle position sensor (the only sensor) control how long the injectors stay open somhow with a relay do you think this would work...adjust leanness and richness by the injector fuel pressure regulator........kinda cool do make somthin like this work

            Hi Guys,
Maybe you'd like to see the site of a Finnish guy that built his own FI on a GSX 1100 based on a GPZ throtlle body.

I'll be watching this topic as I'm very interested in building FI on my Turbobike!

            Greetings, Marco.

I ordered carb holders from www.cyclewareables.com they have a wide variety of intake manifolds/carb holders that you can select from.

Try these from Schnitz racing. I used them to put Mikuni RS34's on my '78 GS1000. Did a little port work as well. Measure the OD's of your throttle bodies and give them a call. Great people to deal with.

I'm just curious, are you wanting to going injected for any particular reason or is this a just because mod?

My BS carbs have delivered 52 mpg on my 1100 even with a few WOT blasts. I know of a few classic CB guys doing an orifice mod (adding a few more properly sized holes) which can bring their CB's up to 60+ mpg... (supposedly better atomization). Maybe if I ever land a spare set of carbs I will give it a try.
