    Oil pressure troubble?

I know I haven;t ridden the bike in a while, but there is something that concerns me a little. Under VERY heavy braking I will have the oil light come on momentarily. sometimes a flicker, sometimes solid depending on how long and how fast I was going.

    Is this normal?

If you love it, let it go. If it comes back....... You probably highsided.

    1982 GS650E (really, it's a 650)
    1983 GS550ES (42mpg again)
    1996 Yamaha WR250 (No, it's not a 4 stroke.)
    1971 Yamaha LT2 (9 horsepower of FURY.)

Don't quote me I think there was a post a long time ago about an O ring on the oil pump pick up That when bad would allow the pump to suck air under some conditions

I'm sorry, I know it sounds pretty obvious, but did you check the oil level?

Of course. The oil is at the proper level. The high side of proper to boot.

SqDancer: that's something I will need to check. I have never dropped the oil pan on my bike.
