I removed the stock tach on my 1150, made a carbon fiber faceplate/adapter and installed a digital tach in my instrument cluster a long time ago. Got tired of that errant stock thing. LO
Hmmm, Next project? Earl, I might have to pick your brain on that too.
My tach gets squirly after 6k. I tried the fix in the tips and tricks (electronic tach), helped some, but still not right. n

My Dyna 2000 ignition system has dual tach drive leads. One lead produces 1 impulse per revolution and the other outputs 2 impluses per revolution. I am pretty sure you could drive the digital tach from your ignition module. Although, I dont offhand know which lead it would be on your module.
